Who are we?Harrison Computers as a company, strive to be considered the quality IT supplier of choice for home and business customers throughout County Durham.
We have remained a small company, but one whose established skills, are up to most tasks. If we can't do it, we will tell you, and if possible refer you to somebody who can!
Quality Products and Services:
We know customer satisfaction is the key to the continued success of our business.
We work hard to give a good quality personal service.
We employ knowledgeable and competent technicians.
We aim to use good quality components - not necessarily the cheapest - but competitively priced.
Our business has been running now for 23 years - probably the oldest surviving computer business in the north of England.
Personal Customers:
We repair computers with hardware and software faults. We build PCs to customer's individual requirements or supply branded machines if preferred.
Can we compete on price with the likes of Dell and PCWorld? Not usually if you are happy with the basic models they offer BUT if you have a special requirement we have found that we can often give you better prices, AND if you need support and friendly advice you can speak directly to the people who do the job.
Business Customers:
Additional services we offer:
- On site installation.
- On site maintenance.
- Network installation & support.
- Specialised data recovery for business critical data.
- Lease agreements to help you spread the cost of I.T. investment.
- Office moves or refurbishments - we have a partnership with a small building & design business so that we can offer a total solution to a company's relocation etc.
Most people realise their car needs regular skilled attention. Computers are the same. If you have the basic skills yourself & the time to divert from managing the business - no problem.
Many people have neither, but do nothing and run into problems. We offer a regular support contract for those who need it. A fixed annual sum will buy:
- A priority service for the business customer.
- Regular visits to check systems.
- A call out service.
Many computer maintenance services only deal with emergencies. We feel many can be prevented and schedule visits to help customers build in controls and procedures.
Our fees can be surprisingly modest but do depend on:
- Distance travelled
- Condition / age of equipment
- Complexity of tasks covered
Before entering an agreement we would check out the machines and may request the customer agrees to initial remedial work.
Our agreements do not normally cover hardware as problems tend to be software or user related. However we are open to discussion.
When did we start?In 2004 we at Harrison Computers celebrated 20 years of offering quality products and services to our wide range of customers.
Where are we?Based as we are in Langley Moor, on the periphery of Durham City. We are centrally located in an area with excellent transport links so that we are able to get to our customers, if necessary, with the minimum of delay.
